Is the 'Blake' a short-bodied 12 fret 000?

Larrivee also did a "short bodied" 12-fret OM with full 25.4 scale, it's the Pete Anderson signature model. I have one and love it. I love the sort of stout look of it, and it's very comfortable to hold and play.

When making a modification like that, do you shift all of the bracing as well? What about the sound hole?

Those are cool guitars. However, if it's a 12-fret neck, its a long scale 000. This confuses so many people, that I think we're duty-bound to keep the 000/OM designations as Martin intended, 'cause they invented it.

Martin always made the 12-fret OOO with the 25.4" scale, BTW. No need to call it a "long-scale" 12-fret OOO in their nomenclature.

That Norman Blake model also has a 19 fret fingerboard which suggests that the soundhole has been shifted north.

The soundhole is 1/8" smaller too

Howard, thanks for the Martin info. I wasn't aware that all the 12-fret 000s were long scale. So many details, so little time....
